I have spent more than two decades building software that had to work in the real world. I started in defence and telecoms at Motorola and BAE Systems, spent seven years at Nokia building the Nokia Music client across Windows, Mac and Windows Phone, and have been at Microsoft for around a decade. I know what it takes to move an idea from whiteboard to production, and I know where AI projects tend to fail before they get there.
I am currently a senior software engineer at GitHub and a maintainer of Spec Kit, one of the more widely used spec-driven development frameworks, working on production-grade agentic AI. Not as a research exercise, but as shipped software with real users and real constraints.
When you work with AIBTG you work directly with me. No associates, no sub-contracted delivery teams. That is deliberate: I would rather take on fewer engagements and do them properly than scale by diluting the work.

Senior hands-on engineering when you need it
If you want help building what we designed, I can. Structured to avoid dependency: the goal is always to hand back a system your team owns and maintains without me.
Every engagement is scoped and quoted individually before any work begins, so the cost is agreed and known in advance. Fees are discussed directly and are not published here.

- Consultancy fees for advisory engagements, with optional day-rate implementation support for clients who want delivery help.

- Founders and leadership teams at small and mid-sized companies who have an AI opportunity in front of them and need an honest read on it.
- Starting point
- The Discovery Session. Capped at one or two days, with scope and cost agreed before anything starts.
- What I do not do
- Unbounded engagements. AI solutions without a business case. Strategy with no path to production.
